Welcome to my personal website - a collection of all the things I find fascinating and have passion for.
I am an eclectic, non-initiated Wiccan at the present time but I follow a number of different (sometimes unrelated) paths such as Thelema and Buddhism. I am learning more about Wicca under the guidance of an experienced teacher and author, based in the UK, to whom I attribute a great amount of my growth in this area. My interest in Buddhism is purely casual, but I find a lot of moral guidance for my own life within that belief system.
I also have a keen interest in Pregnancy and Childbirth,
from both a spiritual point of view and activism against the modern
overly-medicalised way in which women are forced (mainly due to
convention and misinformation) to experience childbirth. I have done a number of different forms of training as a Doula (British Doulas 2004, 1st Year BCur Nursing & Midwifery Degree 2005, Birthing From Within Mentor 2009, WOMBS 2010) but you can read more about there on my other website - www.birthways.co.za
Other than that, I am a very happily married and we have a little pixie for a son. I am Irish by both birth and descent, but I currently reside in South Africa. I have a degree in Psychology and Religious Studies, a tertiary Diploma in Media, and am planning further studies (and probably always will be - I love to learn). :)
